Perlin Noise Fascination

Was working on some particle effects at the office and looked into dicking around with perlin noise and a displacement map. This is an image grabbed off google and applied a displacement map sourcing a bitmap of animated perlin noise. Not as good as video, but for ambient or background graphics, it seems pretty convincing.
